Hi all - I was given some guinea foul eggs yesterday for our local mill in
Pakenham, Suffolk. Does anybody know where's the best place to get a broody
hen??

Kind regards,

Matt

Steady Matt you are getting bloody close to my manor there! Isn't there a local
poultry society in Bury?

Matt, try the health and welfare forum on this site:

ask for Sandy, she is the oracle...

You could buy an incubator if you are really serious, takes away the
need to search for a broody hen! A cheapo manual one might be around
£40.

Probably cheaper too if you haven't already made up nesting boxes etc
and a run, and food, blah blah.

You probably need to start incubating within the first week and even
then, no guarantees of success!

Hey Pete
Tried the pub - no luck, was feeding pheasants when the car boot was on today
so still no luck - think i'll just have a word with some other keeper and try
to persuade one to lend me an incubator.
