I'm just messing with you the reason for the post was to see if anyone using this particular type of RAM needed 2 256mb sticks of it, I have 2 perfectly good sticks and if someone really was in need of it, I was going to give it to them and ship it to them at my expense.

However you live in New Zealand, and I live in the US, and I have no intentions of paying the shipping on sending the RAM to where you live, I'm giving the RAM away free and didn't mind paying to ship it anywhere here in the US, cause I can mail it first class for about 2 bucks, but overseas is another story.

I don't have the laptop anymore that the RAM was in, I upgraded the laptops RAM and gave the sale option when I sold the laptop to have either 512mb total RAM or 1024mb total RAM in it, the person that bought it opted for the 1024mb, so I have 512mb of perfectly good RAM just sitting here.

I don't really see you need the RAM anyway if you're already running 1024mb, End of Story.

How much is it to mail to New Zealand RAM. If it is two bucks US to US, the should not be more than 10 bucks, US to NZ.

Yeah I agree with you....
But 1 gig on a laptop is equivlant to 512MB on a desktop, since a laptop is slower.
So really 1.5 gig on a laptop is the sweet spot....

Mom is doing great. She was told that she would be in the hospital for a min of 7 to 8 days. She was home the third day. Its a true blessing that she has not only made it, but recovered from such a serious surgery. The tumor was not cancerous. The only thing that bothers her is that she gets a headache if she over does it. She is planning on teaching one more year, and as far as I know she will be going back when it starts.

Ive got a couple of notebooks that could use some extra memory so if they are still available... Ive got lots of parts from different computers so maybe I have something you could use. Let me know!
