Keyboard and mouse not working

I have a mk550 logitech keyboard and mouse. my ipad was running out of battery so i plugged it in to my pc with asus ai charger. all of the sudden my pc cannot recognize my keyboard and mouse. i plugged in my older keyboard and mouse and they work fine. please help. using win 7 64 bit professional
