New to this but... I recently purchased 512 mb of pc2100 and received chips with the label PC266 on them. are they the same thing or is it time to ship em back?

They are correct. PC1600 = PC200 = PC100, PC2100 = PC266 = PC133. It's all in the way that you look at it. The PC2100 refers to DDR's 2.1 GBps rate. PC266 is effective mhz speed of the RAM, and PC133 is actual speed of the ram, as it is double pumped to get 266.
