Hello,
I need help! I ordered generic ink carts off of ebay for my Epson Workforce 500. I got them in fine but my printer is rejecting them. Is there any way to bypass this or did I waste my money on them?

I hate to say it but, you probably have just wasted your money.
It's a hard lesson but that's why I never buy ink from eBay. You could buy a chip resetter and that might work but, poor quality ink can also permanently clog your print heads which would destroy your printer anyway, so it might just be a good thing that that ink didn't work!

On the bright side I use generic or aftermarket ink in my Epson printers all the time and I've had very good luck with these three suppliers:

http://www.imarketcity.com/epstc1cxnxnx.html
http://www.ink4ever.com/workforce5001.html
http://www.ldproducts.com/Epson/Ink-Cartridge/WorkForce/500/3822-Printer.html

The first two are the cheapest and imarketcity used to have free shipping when your order was $100 or more (I do allot of printing) but they did away with that so it's not as good of a deal as it used to be.

The last one LDProducts probably has the best quality ink of the three and it's still very cheap but, all three of these suppliers have good quality inks.

Below is a tutorial I wrote on after market ink which you may or may not find useful. Anyway good luck.
