  1. My son worked for Acer .... he'd advise against it :)

I'd suggest an Asus or Clevo (150 HNQ or 170 HN) model .... but I have generally found that $1000 is the entry point for satisfactory gaming in a laptop at 1920 x 1200.
  2. i'm not looking to play at such high resolution, i just want a medium resolution and a decent gameplay. :D , i will take a look at the ones that you sugested
  3. Some options for mid-range gaming:

On a tight budget: Acer Aspire AS5742G $650
    Intel Core i3 380M(2.53GHz) 4GB RAM 640GB HDD 15.6" 1366x768 NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M w/ NVIDIA Optimus
    The i3 380M CPU/GT 540M GPU will allow decent mid-range gaming on a 1366x768 resolution screen.

    Lenovo IdeaPad Y560p $850
Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz) Sandy Bridge quad core CPU, 4GB RAM 500GB HDD 15.6" 1366x768 LCD w/ Radeon HD 6570M graphics
