Dell D600/XP_SP3. All of a sudden upon power-up it takes something like 40+ minutes just to get to the Windows desktop screen. CPU cranks away constantly and every facet of startup seems to take long, not any one particular portion. And, once up - every single keystroke or mouse click command might take 10 minutes to complete! I can F8 into system setup/start options quickly, but if I try to start in Safe Mode or try to use Last Good Config, no improvement. Any ideas what could be happening or how to troubleshoot. As mentioned, even once windows is up, every little command or "click" seriously takes 10+ minutes to execute and CPU hardly ever stops running. Thanks!
