please please please please respond dude. is 56-60 degrees celcius too hot for atholon 1.4ghz?? I have a coolermaster and i hate it because everytime i try to load windows it freezes adn i can't do anything. any suggestions for a new heatsink, fan???

If you have a specific question for a specific user, there is alwasys private mail ya know?!?

At any rate, according to AMD you are well within exceptable ranges. However, according to most of the die hard fanatics on this board, you want to get under 50 and preferably under 45. If you can get into the high 30's you are king. If your system is freezing up, it could be software problems, power supply (make sure it is over 350w), etc...

For good HS's, you can go onto AMD's site or check out the coolers section on this board.
Gladiator, Volcano 5 or 6, Dragon orb3, silver mountain, thermalright sk6, etc.. they will all work. Make sure you have good case ventilation or the best hsf in the world won't help much.

p.s. I'm sure fatburger loves you to, of course he's only in it for the s@x!!
