How do I get rid of Norton 360 on Windows 7?

Norton 360--This has slowed my laptop down -windows 7 and my desktop- windows xp-desktop-so slow-don't even use the desktop!

Go to the Norton website and find the Norton Removal Tool, that is most effective I believe.

sounds like you have some slow low end computers

control pannel -> add remove programs / programs features

or as Chugot9218 said removal tool if all else fails

it does work great i have used it many times

Replace it with microsoft security essentials. It is free, low overhead and unobtrusive.

Get the non 360 version of Norton.Norton antivirus and nis are 2 of the lightest suites on the market today.

I had the same problem with Norton 360. I have asked on Norton forums too. I've found a tool named Norton Removal Tool http://www.place77.com/norton-removal-tool-40780.html

I have removed completely.

Yes Norton is a PITA to remove a lot of the time. Any program that needs a specific removal tool to remove it is bad in my book. You should be able to remove anything using an Admin account.

Microsoft security essentials works well. Its Free and I have never had any issues with it.

New versions from 2009 ,and up require no tool to remove.

I think you mean should require no removal tool ?

The main issue I run into is that Norton has never and I mean never successfully uninstalled from any machine I have removed it from without resorting to the removal tool.
I guess that's why they supply the tool, because people do need it. Maybe not everyone, but a lot do and its usually because it wont let go without a fight.

I don't recommend the 360 versions.I like NIS myself.
