If I have a 120hz monitor with a graffics card (660 TI) That won't quite give me 120 FPS, probably more like 70-80fps, will I start to see problems while playing games? I have heard that you might start seeing tearing or what not if your actual FPS isn't has high as your monitors refreash rate, is this true?

Will I expierence any problems because my GTX 660 TI most likely wont put out 120 fps with most games on Ultra and I will have a 120hz monitor?

Screen tearing only occurs when the FPS is above the refresh rate of the monitor, not under it. You'l be fine.

Not true.

Tearing is only more noticeable at higher FPS, but it happens regardless if v-sync isn't on in many games.

If your GPU is generating FPS at a different rate than your monitors refresh rate, or if they are not being synced to insure the GPU doesn't write to the screen buffer at the same time a refresh is taking place, there is tearing. That is often the case any time "vertical sync" or v-sync is not on.
