I am looking to upgrade to a 120hz 3d ready monitor however am having some trouble figuring out which one to get based on my current setup. I am running two HD 5970s in crossfire configuration and would like the monitor to be compatible with them without sidegrading to a nvidia gpu. The only monitors I have looked into are the BenQ, Asus, and Samsung model. The BenQ seems to not be compatible with HD3D; the Samsung is impossible to find; and I just can't seem to confirm or deny the Asus's compatibility. The HD3D compatibility list on AMD's website seems outdated so i was looking to someone who already had a setup that would be willing to share info. Thanks for the advice.

I do not know of any HD3D monitors other than Samsung, and they do make good monitors. Look at the 700, 750, and 950 models and double check to make sure they are HD3D compatible, there are some non 3D monitors with similar model numbers.

That said, I'd recommend 3D Vision. While out of the box, they aren't all that different, 3D Vision is easier to use, and with a great mod community that has fixed a lot of games that otherwise have issues with 3D.
