how can i print from DOS PRINT program to an IP PRINTER?

  1. If it's a USB printer (like the Canon iP series and all modern home printers), I'm afraid you can't. You need a printer which has the old type of parallel port connection which DOS supports natively.

    The parallel port was phased out on new printers when USB was introduced, but the legacy port is still fitted even on new computers - - it's finding a parallel-port printer that's the problem these days as few manufacturer's make them anymore.

    A second-hand one on Ebay is your best bet, but then you'll probably have a new problem sourcing new ink cartridges for it.
