Can you boot into safe mode by hitting the F8 key before Windows finishes loading?

in addition to what Jim has suggested, why not try last known good configuration?

Have you recently done any updates?

F8 just gives me three options, to boot from disc drive or either of my hard drives.

Hi :)

Bring up MSCONFIG...

Go to STARTUP tag...

CHECK ....DISABLE ALL

Then reboot... see if it helps...

All the best Brett :)

Hi, i tried something similar, i tried disabling everything non windows in services tab and restarted and it didn't work. I have just tried taking my new 7850GPU out and running from on board and it starts ok, please can you advise what this means?

Hi, i've just put the GPU back in now and everything seems to be fine so i'm hoping i'd just knocked it lose or something somehow.
