I downloaded a Sandra 2001-te Standard Version 2001.5.8.11

Started tests from my antique AMD AM5x86-P75 (486DX4-133) Write-Back machine.
Who remember, it’s actually 486 advanced processor, I read from the spec: ...a fast clock-multiplied (4x clock) 486 that runs at four times the speed of the 33 MHz 486 motherboard...approximatly comparable to a Pentium-75 which it is denoted with a P-75 in the part number.

The Sandra shows:

Processor AMD 5x86wb @ 206 MHz  ..Hehehheh.LOL!
Performance Raiting: pr116 (estimated)
Generation 4th (4x86)

Good, Sandra! Good for AMD. LOL!
hehheh:) I drink to AMD. Cheers!
Anybody can talk seriously about Sandra? LOL!

Yeah that's kinda weird....Everyone is starting to say MHZ don't matter anymore, but damn they will start to matter when you can't get any software that will equally compare 2 chips.

almost as sad as 3DMark.

i downloaded it on the mistaken idea that it was a 3D card benchamrking program *snigger*

reading all the peoples posts and doing a few tests showed how foolish i was.
i got around 4500 for my machine.
i overclock the card by 15-20% and get a mammoth increase of like 30 marks *pffft*
overclock my CPU & fsb and get an extra 400 marks.
3d benchmarking program my ass!

theres gotta be better out there

3dmark is more infleuced by the videocard than the cpu, however, some videocards dont gain much from overclocking.(ie the ram is the bottleneck the core wont help, or vice versa) What kind of overclock did you do?

...also, overclocking video (memory or GPU) won't do much if your CPU is the limiting factor. For example, overclocking my Geforce256 on my K6-2 (400mhz) didn't do zip but on my Duron (@1007mhz) overclocking the Geforce brought my 3DMark2000 scores from ~4700 up to 5400+

Would you like a Quarter Pounder?
No, thank you. Just give me the BIG heatsink. It's an Athlon.

I continue my comparison tests of Sandra 2001-te Standard Version 2001.5.8.11 (for Win32, works on Windows 98, NT, 2K)

Now I run Sandra on an archaic Dell OptiPlex XL 575 (compatible with my antique AMD AM5x86-P75, as tested above), and Sandra shows realistic data for the Intel-based machine:

Processor................. Intel Pentium @ 75 MHz
Performance Rating ... PR75 (estimated)
Generation .............. 5th 5x86
Model Information ..... P54C Pentium 75-233 3.3V
