Hello, sorry if this is the wrong section. For about 3 months now I have been randomly receiving an error when I power on my PC. It tells me "Windows failed to start, a recent hardware change could be the problem",something like that. Every time I get this error I have just booted my PC into normal mode and everything works fine. This error also comes and goes, sometimes I won't see for for a good 3-4 weeks and then it will happen again.
I ran a full scan of chkdisk. After I did this I looked at the Event Viewer and it showed me all of the previous errors. The only Critical Errors that were listed were I think on the days when I would get this error on start-up.
The critical event tells me.
Source - Kernel Power Event ID - 41
"The System has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
It also tells me something about Bugcheck.
