Directx 9 windows 7

Yup... There is no need to install DirectX of any form in Windows 7, Vista or any other modern Windows OS.

Oh, and 'I want X' isn't really the most polite way of asking for something (/nannymode off)

I think he's asking an updated runtime of DirectX9 for Windows 7, which is correct, because at default the Dx9 runtimes included in Win7 is quite outdated....

Anyway, thanks strikervm. Needed this link for a game I used to play but haven't thought of installing until now, but won't work with the DX11 that came with windows 7. I came upon this forum after googling, and it's not the first on the search results list for the search "directx 9 windows 7".
