My AMD T-Bird 1.2 Ghz CPU is about 130 degrees and my case is about 92. Is that too hot? I have a coolmaster fan heatsink thing a mini tower case and no case fans.
Thats 54c and 33c the case temp is ok, the processor temp isn't going to kill it. Most like to keep theirs in the low 40's but 50~60 seems to be a resonable temp.
What is the difference between <font color=red>pink</font color=red> and <font color=purple>purple</font color=purple>? The <b>GRIP</b>!
While your temps aren't too high right now, they have the potential for problems. I would install either rear exhaust fan, or a front intake fan to help cool your system down. The CoolerMaster HSF you have now should be fine for cooling your processor, but it is a good idea to have at least one case fan in any and all Athlon systems.
If it were me, I would be worrying right now. I never let my CPU get that hot and the one I did, I accidentally fried. I would do my utmost to keep my CPU temp and system temp as low as possible without shelling out tons of cash.
AMD recommends keeping the CPU under 90c-95c -- you are nowhere near that. An exhaust fan in the upper rear of the case, near the power suppy is recommended.
