I have a chemical called GOO GONE that removes chewing gum, tar, asphalt, masking tape, residue, show polish, bumper sticker... i tried on my HSF - was quickly (took 2 minutes of rubbing) and none of that stichy paste left. Can I do the same to the CPU? it's a liquid, won't I kill the CPU? I can just take some of GOO GONE and apply on a piece of soft clothes and start rubbing everywhere on the CPU, inluding the core??? no damage???

I'd stay away from the bridges and [insert correct name here], the little chip-like things, but the top of the core should be fine.
