Hey I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem running Windows XP. I just upgraded my Windows 2000 with XP and it wont start. I get a blue screen and it says a bunch of stuff about using CHKDSK /F and stuff, and the error code is:

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xf9e48640, 0xc0000034. 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

My computer has never been working properly since I got it in august. It sometimes just restarts for no reason. I always had the newest drivers and stuff so I couldnt figure out the problem.

Here's my system specs:
AMD 1800XP
ASus A7V333 w/o raid
Creative SB Live!
Kingmax 256meg PC2700
Asus 8X DVD-ROM
LG 12x8x32 CD-RW
Asus V8420 Video (GF4 Ti4200) w/128meg
Matrox 60gig 7200RPM ATA/100
WD 40gig 5400RPM ATA/66
Logitech Cordless Freedom set if that makes any difference.
Dlink 530TX NIC

That shoudl be it. Also, I doubt this would cause it to not start... but when XP was installing it asked me for the file VIAIDE.SYS but I didnt have it so I put cancel and it kept on installing.

Anyway if anyone could suggest anything I would appreciate it.

THanks,
Adam.

Could be loosen components in your PC...check your RAM, IDE cables and your PCI cards. Have you try using different hard disk to install?

The file VIAIDE.SYS appears to be a motherboard driver for the VIA IDE controller. Try starting in safe mode, then reinstall the 4-in-one drivers.
