Video Freezes with Win2k

I've got a Creative Annihilator 2 (Geforce 2 32 meg DDR) and since I installed windows 2000 it causes my computer to crash within a minute of loading counterstrike when i have hardware acceleration enabled. I downloaded the newsest drivers from nvidia and creative and it didn't help. any ideas?

1. You probably have an Athlon processor and haven't yet purchased and installed a cold fusion power supply. Make sure you have a Power supply that offers at the very least 350 watts.

2. OMG, Raystonn flaming!!!!! right on dude!

Im thinking VIA 4n1, most likely an AMD machine.
3. Rayy, I had so much respect for you dude, but, that wasnt so much a flame as a joke, and I will take it as such.

4. A couple possible issues here:

AMD chipset requires the AMD AGP patch to run 3D apps correctly.

VIA chipset requires the VIA 4-in-1 patch installed. Latest official version is 4.32v.

You might need a better power supply. If you're not doing a sick amount of hard drives, 300W is usually fine as long as it is an AMD approved PSU.

Let us know how it goes.

5. The cold fusion part was indeed a joke and not intended as a flame. I do not lack a sense of humor. ;) However, the 350 watt power supply was some real advice. I figure if I'm going to offer advice geared toward AMD users, I should be allowed to add a few jokes! =)

6. heres the entire set-up:
1.4 Athlon
Epox 8K7A+ with 512 DDR
Creative Annhilator2 32 DDR
20 gig 7200 RPM ultra UDMA HD
Sony CDRW
300 watt Sparkle (AMD approved) power supply

I'm downloading all the drivers you guys suggested now but the via site is really slow, I'll post again when i get them all installed
7. If you are downloading them now, I take it they werent installed before, chalk it up to another non driver update issue. It should run fine after the neccicary drivers are installed.
