PII L2 cache issues

Hi guys, I need some expertise........

I'm currently running a PII 400Mhz OCKed to 496Mhz-(124Mhz FSB.)

I would like to achieve 133Mhz FSB- 533Mhz clock speed,

I know that my L2 cache doesn't like to run at 533Mhz

so I'm just wondering whether disabling the L2 cache is going to be a worthwhile tradeoff ?

cheers :0

disabling L2 would make your system perform like a 2-300 Mhz machine.. at the very best. Why dont you try it ? dont overclock, just disable it. Turn it on, launch windows, and get a coffee to kill the time

  2. YOu can increase the overclockability of your cache by adding little ramsinks to it. You must remove the plastic housing to do that.

    Back to you Tom...
