I am unsure of the technology used, but there are coolers (food) on the market that run on 12 volts which I believe are strictly electronics (no compressor & gas). Has anyone looked into using this methodology to cool CPU's?
Heres an example.
http://store.yahoo.com/wonderfulbuys/kool1812vcoo.html The unit has a cooling fan on the outside dispating heat from the outer heat sync and an inner heat sync on the inside which cools the cooler. Reversing polarity reverses which side is hot, cold.
These types of colers use peltier devices. Skip buying the food cooler and buy the peltier separately, at least then you know what size pelteir your getting.
