I really don't have much any experience or interest in using Virtual machines but I am just curious about if you can run a Virtual OS using a Virtual Machine when the Virtualization Technology is disabled in the BIOS?

The bios needs to have virtualization turned on and the motherboard has to support it. Otherwise, your vdi software will let you know that it won't work
It would be helpful to post the make and model of the laptop. Just a FYI your gender does not limit your potential.
