ATI OR NVIDIA FOR windows 7 ?

From what I have seen on the forums ati seems to have the most problems.
Mine's an nvidia and had no problems with Vista or W7 in either the beta or final release of W7.

Remember currently Nvidia has only the expensive 470/480 which support DX11. ATI has the entire 5 series line which includes a number of 'budget' cards which support DX11. You probably were aware. Otherwise it's a matter of user preference. ATI offers a great line of low power, low cost great performance cards currently. With Nvidia you have a lot of power hungry, power user cards at the top.

Ignore the brand, the only real difference is that Ati's drivers can be a bit less polished then Nvidia (although even they have their fair share of ****-ups).

Think about how much you're willing to spend, your current setup and how energy efficient you wish to be.

Yeah don't make the OS a factor in choosing what brand you are buying. Buy the hardware then choose the best software. It does not work the other way around :)
