DVD shows all CD blank

DVD RW display almost all CDs as blank cd
what to do ?

Go into Device Manager.
Right-click the DVD drive and choose "Uninstall".
Now restart Windows and it will re-install driver for the DVD drive.
See if that has fixed the problem.
If it hasn't fixed it, you may have to replace the DVD drive with a new one.

does it also do it for dvds? or only cds?

a new dvd/rw is only about £15 so not too painfull if you need to replace it
