are you sure it's the speaker that needs the driver and not the sound card? what system/motherboard are you using? did you try a windows update?

Speakers do not require drivers. However, if you have a sound card in a Desktop computer, then we need to know the make/model of the sound card.

If you have a laptop computer, then what is the make/model of the laptop?

This is an HP p6310f desktop PC. To my knowledge there is no sound card. Any help will be appreciated.

The speakers were part of my Dell Windows XP Pro XPS system recently deceased. They generated hellacious sound so I wanted to carry them over to this system (and saving a buck wouldn't hurt either).

A new system with no sound is a real drag. Straighten me out, please.

If you have not sound card then the sound is a product of your motherboard.

You might check your Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers

If you download http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html (FREE)
it will tell you all the equipment you have in your computer.
