whats wrong with your laptop if it has a black screen when you turn it on and it wont do anything else and even the keybord wont work but you can hear the fan things working and it sounds like its going to start i have windows 7 xp and vista

2. do you hear the HDD spin when you turn it on?
3. if you screen doesn't light up, how do you know keyboard won't work?

1. motherboard faulty
2. lcd faulty
3. connection to lcd from GPU faulty
