Does anyone one know about this?

I'd love to hear comments from people. If, if this was true, would it actually cause problems at Intel? And does anyone know if there is any validity to their argument?

they wont be able to stop toe seeling of the p4, but they will have made the point that there is no way intel can win this fight... they said they released the chipset because they would win any lawsuits and it seems they were correct...

if in doubt blame microsoft...

Not really. Via isn't patenting other people's technology like Rambus did.

Another advantage VIA has in this little skirmish is VIA actually is suing both over technology issues AND also suing over the fracas earlier this year over Intel defacing VIA property...which they got on video.
