Hi Everyone with the advent of fusion (Brazos) the industry has never been this much saturated in the mobile notebook division. And with the release on coming months of Chrome OS
Google does raise some very interesting points with Chrome OS. Although you can technically do more with a Windows PC, Microsoft still has to provide answers to the high security, hands off updating approach of Chrome OS. (Anandtech).
So guys I have an idea to start an open-hardware (design) project (analogous to an open-source project) defining what our notebook should be (high quality LCD, no 16:9 screen, no gloss, thin bezel, no-flex keyboard, etc.). One of the better advantage that Dell has over other Manufacuterer is that it gives customization.
**** My suggestion why not a nettop or a lappy includes a cd-dvd drive bay in it. just like an HD camcorder which includes a compact dvd-rw to record. Why hasn't the industry not looked into this and developed it like that. ****
