I tried to steer the discussion that way, wasn't really picked upon. However as far as I could see, the peeps reacting to the phone thievery were not the same peeps that do not consider software piracy to be thievery as well.

Watch it Ryan, that's how it usually starts out. One person was not really paying attention and then you lash out to a whole group in response.

It's pretty tough to address a whole group with one statement, especially if you do not specifically identify the members of that group. You will almost with 100% certainty alienate someone, that was not your intention to address in the first place.

Again, many assumptions. I would say your assumptions are based on how you interpret my past posts. Actually it is very easy to take printed word any which way you feel like.

For what it's worth or whether you're interested or not, I do not have any particular like or dislike for you.

If people disagree here, do not consider that a opinion on your person. Of course if you feel very adamant about something and someone else adamantly disagrees that may influence your opinion of the person, but that is exactly where a forum is rather limited, only seeing this text and nothing else. I've known people that I like very much but with which I share little common ground. Instead of seeing that as a threat to my own subjective view of the world I tend to try and learn about different perspectives on how to perceive the world around me.

Precisely for the reason I just wrote, I really dislike SoD, as he seems to be unable to accept subjective views that differ from his own, he sees those as direct attacks on his person or his expertise (if he has any). Although even at the weirdest moments when you least expect it, he comes out of the fishing pond with an interesting post, such moments are (too) rare. For the remainder of the time, he just talks out of his ass.

Additionally when (moral) values collide/differ too much, like in the case of wusy's stealing, it directly translate into having an unfavorable opinion on him although it is but one aspect of his no doubt complex personality.

For the rest, I'm pretty much impartial as I don't have enough to go on from this forum to know whether I like or dislike people, this in contrast to actually meeting people where I have a rather strong sense of judging people on first sight, making me susceptible to prejudice. I'm working on that, although often I find my first impressions do fit the person I get to know after that.
