Advice for desktop replacement.

1. What is your budget?
Around £700

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
17"

3. What screen resolution do you want?
Not sure

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
desktop replacement, no problem carrying a 17" one :D 

5. How much battery life do you need?
atleast 2+ hours after full charge, it stays more on my desk then traveling

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Until now my desktop is an Dell Gx 745 whit 3 gb ram and a low power xfx 9600 gt
If you could direct em to a laptop to replace this its fine.
Mostly play Planet Calypso on medium, and any other games on low -medium

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

A little bit of gaming, watching videos, and note taking.
Web Design and not to much of graphic design / logo design

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
300+ Gb

2-3 years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
DVD writer is fine

Had toshibe for a couple of months ddint have problems whit it.
Prefer Dell, Toshiba, Sony
