AMD Chip Speed?

I recently bought an AMD 1.333GHz TB. I put it in my MB and started my computer, the speed displayed was 1.00GHz.
Is this correct? I was told that I had to change the settings on my MB. Should the initial speed be 1.333 or do I really need to change the settings on my MB? I have an A7V133 Motherboard. I have changed the settings and the speed used to say 1.333, but it was unstable. I also have 512MB of sdram 133.

Yes, it is correct. By default, your mobo is running at 100MHz FSB when your CPU's multiplier is 10X.

What Core voltage is yours? You might want to up it a little (1.825V for example), and are your memory 2 sticks of 256MB or 1 stick of 512?
Also, there is known problem with 512MB of memory and up when using Win98 or ME.

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

2.18 CORE VOLTAGE ?????

R U SURE ?!?!?!?!?
IF SO, HOLY CRAP, thats why ur chip isnt running properly, WAY to hot, and NOT EVEN CLOSE to enough cooling, DEFAULT/STOCK voltage for that chip is 1.75 Volts......i think u should crank that baby back to 1.75......WOAH!

Like he said, 2.18?!?!

Sounds like chips from some years back. Should NEVER be that high, even for OC'ing.

10x133 = 1.33GHz. Reset the FSB speed to unlock full speed of processor.
