I have an old system my father uses for his company. It is a P 166 MMX with currently 96 MB Dimm (Its Pc-133 underclocked to PC-66) It has a Aopen AP58 motherboard, which has 4 simms and 2 dimms. First off will Simms and dimms ram work at the same time? secondly, what would be the fsb? 66? how do you change it to 83? I know you can, it says on aopens website. Also how do you overclock it? It has two Quantum 2 gig harddrives, a 24x cdrom, a 8-4-32 HP 9150i burner, and Windows 98 SE. I want to overclock it. Will changing the FSB to 83 Mhz speed the system up? remember it has the PC-133 ram underclocked right now. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I WANT TO DO TONIGHT AND WILL POST RESULTS!!!

AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz, ECS K7VZA, 256 MB Ram, Win2k

There should be 2 sets of jumpers on your mobo, one for FSB, and one for clock multiplier. Just a word of caution, make sure you have a great heatsink and pleanty of fans- I oced my 166 at wokr to 200, and w/o my 2 fans on teh heatsink and an oversized heatsink at that, it will fry. For the FSB jumpers, just set to the max- it may be 66MHz actually, as I haven't heard of 82MHz FSB before- at least on the tons of mobo's I've seen the highest has been 66MHz. Anyway, if there actually is an 82MHz FSB, that will get u working at around 206MHz. You can adjust teh multiplier accordingly after that, but it may overheat. USE CAUTION!
