Is there such a thing as a Generic or Universal NIC driver?

My Peer to Peer LAN is composed of 5 computers, one being a laptop. I would from time to time like to access the network from a DOS boot disk to test whether it's connecting properly.

How possible is this?

I am using soley TCP/IP addresses, would prefer to have to make just the one boot disk if that is possible.

Many thanks,

G.

No universal. You have to try to find DOS drivers for your specific NIC. Good luck.
