Universal/Generic NIC Driver? Tags: NIC Boot Networking Last response: January 30, 2002 3:25 PM in Networking Share Anonymous January 28, 2002 7:16:36 AM Is there such a thing as a Generic or Universal NIC driver? My Peer to Peer LAN is composed of 5 computers, one being a laptop. I would from time to time like to access the network from a DOS boot disk to test whether it's connecting properly. How possible is this? I am using soley TCP/IP addresses, would prefer to have to make just the one boot disk if that is possible. Many thanks, G. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Time stands still for no upgrader. More about : universal generic nic driver jlanka January 29, 2002 11:59:24 AM No universal. You have to try to find DOS drivers for your specific NIC. Good luck. It's always the one thing you never suspected. ycs46241 January 30, 2002 3:25:57 PM it is hard to get all driver all you need is the fcc # thats on card and go to driver guide.com Can't find your answer ?
