i have a 850mhz Athlon cpu with geforce 2gts graphics card and sound blaster 5.1 plantinium. every time my pc boots up and reach the wallpapper it usually hangs but after i press ctrl+alt+del it shows that explorer is not responding. why does this happen?

possible incorrect video drivers.
does it book ok in safe mode?
is there an exact error?
