ok, i have a rioworks PDVIA dual slot1 m/b
and 2 matching 1Ghz 133fsb slot1 processors.

i am having problems powering on/booting. in any config,
with one or both processors. i haven't been able to get access to another slot1 board to test these processors individually.

i also have a p2 450 that works fine (ie powers up and boots).

i'm thinking that the processors dont work. has anyone else encountered this problem?

rioworks are useless to get anything out of.

Can you be more specific?

You might need a bios update if your 450's work fine.

Make sure that your motherboard supports coppermine 1Ghz, some dont.

Sounds like you need a bios update. The new bios will include the microcode fot the never processors. check your bios and see if a newer bios is available. If your bios does not have the miccrocode for the processors it will not run them. Or they will run very unstable.
