OK, is a 430W PSU enough for a fully loaded, highly overclocked, super-aircooled PC? I expect by 2002, my system will feature: AthlonXP 1800+, 1GB SDRAM (yes, on my KT133A mobo), an AIW Radeon 8500DV, Promise RAID controller, 2 network cards, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, 10+ fans and coolers, DVD-ROM drive, DVD-RAM Drive, and CD-RW Drive, Zip Drive, Floppy Drive, 2 40GB 7200RPM drives. I expect to get the 1.53GHz AthlonXP to around 1.7GHz or even more. Will a 430W Power supply handle all that or should I just get a 530W PSU?

I run five IDE devices on my 300W PSU and I can still do stable overclocking to a certain extent. My limiting factor is my cheapo generic RAM. Even with my crap RAM I can get my 1.13GHz up to 1.2GHz. I borrowed a PC150 DIMM from a friend and with that I was able to get to 1.33GHz. You should do just fine with a 300W or even a 350W PSU.
