Chronic Freezing Problems

Okay heres my problem.. I go to certain websites and it completely locks up my pc. I had AOL AIM for a couple days, and then that began to lock up to. I use the CTR ALT DEL and nuthin happens, my pc completely locks up. I don't know if this is a hardware issue... or what..ive downloaded the latest IE from MIcrosoft..im running win2k pro... with a linksys router, & pac-bell dsl(speadstream)

anybody ever come across this? 50% of the websites i visit work fine, but the other 50% i visit lock up, completely freezes everything.

Reinstall your os and try the older version of ie for a while, if the problem still persists check your internet connection.

I’d run a benchmarking program or something like <A HREF="http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/" target="_new">SETI</A> and see if it locks up. Some sites may be more CPU intensive and thus cause some part of your system to overheat. If not, at least you eliminated one possibility.

Damage is damage, but at least you know something should be a foot.

I thought this thread was about an evaporator or pelt waterblock
