Volume bar Windows 7 on a VAIO

I just installed Windows 7 on my VAIO laptop. Now the volume bar on the screen doesn't display when I hit the volume control button on the keybpard.

you need the specific software for your laptop on sony's website for that

Have you ensured the audio drivers are installed / properly updated?

Apache is implying that the volume bars have to do with Sony software, but the bars were there when I was on Vista OS, but when I installed Windows 7....no bars.

Are the 'audio drivers" a Sony or a Windows 7 app???

Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services

Locate the VAIO Event Service and right click > Properties

Change Startup Type to Automatic and Start the Service

This should solve your issue of the missing volume bar display that appears when using your hot keys.
