Hi all,

I'm building a new system and placed an order to buy MSI K7T266Pro2-R(KT266A) and Athlon XP1500+.But after reading the tests on the AthlonXP I'm confused about buying the XP1500+ or 1400Mhz Athlon.1400 seems faster on FPU performance and you know it's cheaper. And I don't have enough money to buy a faster AthlonXP.

Any comments?

It would be about the same overall, because the 1500+ is a lower clock speed (1.33), but performs better per clock. Go for the 1.4, it's cheap.

Overall the athlon xp 1500+ is equavalent to a 1500mhz Tbird, hence the 1500+, Is the extra 100mhz of speed worth the cost difference? Its up to you.
