I'm looking for a good hardware tester. I would like somthing that I could boot a computer with that would then test all the hardware on the computer. Though a free one would be preferable, I don't mind paying for one if it is worth it.

To be honest your mobo will self test and beep codes will diagnose problems. Can you specify the problem, or was it just that?

I perform onsite computer service and there have been several times when a computer boots without any problems, single beep, but I still suspect motherboard issues. Without a hardware tester I have to explain to my clients what I suspect and hope that they believe me, which they usually do. Having the hardware tester would make life easier since I could "show" them where the hardware is broken. For those of you who are going to suggest to me that I open the case and look for blown capacitors, they are not always blown. I worked for a shop once that had a hardware tester on a boot floppy, I can't remember what it was called and for other reason's I can't call them and ask :)
Anyway the original question, anyone want to suggest a good hardware tester.

a generic hardware tester will not be able to tell you anything if the computer powers on.

my computer is so fast, it completes an endless loop in less than 4 seconds!
