I'm looking for a good hardware tester. I would like somthing that I could boot a computer with that would then test all the hardware on the computer. Though a free one would be preferable, I don't mind paying for one if it is worth it.
I perform onsite computer service and there have been several times when a computer boots without any problems, single beep, but I still suspect motherboard issues. Without a hardware tester I have to explain to my clients what I suspect and hope that they believe me, which they usually do. Having the hardware tester would make life easier since I could "show" them where the hardware is broken. For those of you who are going to suggest to me that I open the case and look for blown capacitors, they are not always blown. I worked for a shop once that had a hardware tester on a boot floppy, I can't remember what it was called and for other reason's I can't call them and ask Anyway the original question, anyone want to suggest a good hardware tester.
