AMD back to the old day?

Remember the old PR rating date? once the clock speed can't keep up not much people will buy AMD any more no matter what PR they got... Why AMD move so slow all the sudden? Right now the RDRAM and P4 CPU is not too expensive now... just wonder how AMD survive under that.
