Is it true that socket 423 will be obsollete in fews moths and his sucessor, socket 478 will be the Pentium 4 standard socket???

Socket 478 is readily available in motherboards and CPUs. The best current 478 motherboard is the Abit TH7-II with the i850 chipset.

And what about Asus motherboards??

I know they will reliese P4T-E that supports socket 478 and
chipset Intel i850... but when it will be avaiable???

I'm not sure. I haven't kept up in release dates for upcoming Intel-based boards.

a marchnat have tell me that P4T will be disdand.the new asus P4T-E, i hear (rumor) that will not have turbo rimm feature.Who is the only reason why P4 2000 keep up with palamino.
