1.4 athlon scam?

how do i tell if i have a true 1.4 gig athlon w/266 fsb... i have a asus a7m266 mobo and when i set it to 133mhz it hangs...runs fine at 100mhz and can step it up to 115mhz(1200mhz)but thats it. pcprobe says it is a 1200 processor...i must be doing something wrong or i in fact only have a 1200 processer? do i have to do something to the ram to make this work?? i have tried both jumperless and jumpered modes with the same sad results. when i change to 133mhz and reboot bios says i have a 1.4 processer and pc2100 ram...then it hangs and resets to a 1050 gig processer, pc1600 ram and 100fsb...can anyone help me with this problem????
