For those interested in purchasing a socket 478 Pentium 4 platform with an i850 (DRDRAM) chipset, I have put together a list of available motherboards made by a variety of vendors. I am not endorsing anything; just providing a list. Here they are:

Raystonn, the TH7-II has onboard LAN. I wouldn't have known that, except I was just at their site looking at it :)
And you might want to mention the optional RAID on that and others.

Do you happen to know offhand which motherboards, besides the obvious TH7II-RAID, have RAID?

The P4T is Socket423. Not Socket478. Unless the -E version is Socket478, but I couldn't even find a P4T-E anywhere on the Asus site.

Check the link again. I modified it about 2 minutes ago to point to a more specific location.

You can also get the TH7II without RAID

newegg.com has good 2 of these in the refurb section for cheap.

Oh okay. Stupid me... I didn't notice that all of the items were already linked... I just went to the Asus site and tried to find it.

Right, which is why that's the way Raystonn originally listed it, and then I asked if he was going to mention that it comes with RAID.

Now lets see Novemver is coming, I can see it in front of me, a line up of the Northwood boards couple of reviews and then the all mighty benchmarks a head to head clash against AthlonXP1800+ (or the next Pr rated AThlonXP?). Can it be more exciting? no i don't think so.:)

Pricing, i wonder how much a Northwood cpu will cost?....will it be priced like current P4's or can we expect even lower prices (relativly speaking)?

BTW when will the Northwood+DDR chipset be released?

that would be a nice comparison...

athlon & athlon XP vs p4 & northwood using
sis735, kt266a, sis645, nforce vs p4x266, i850, ?

The i845 with DDR memory sockets will ship Q1 of next year (likely in January.)

What we need now is a review of each of these motherboards with special attention paid to whether or not they could get it to work with PC1066 DRDRAM.
