Need help with windows 7 home premium.

Dose the windows folder contain windows files, or windows its self. Like if i were to copy the windows folder to a separate drive would it install windows to that other drive or just the files, data, etc?

Ok thanks. One more question. The reason i want to do this is to change my primary drive to secondary. If i were to make a clean re-install of windows, and then transfer all the windows files back to my hard drive, would my drives settings (primary/secondary revert to how they were before the clean install.
If you know the answer please post it. I have put this question is a couple other threads and no one replied back. I guess they don't deem it worthy of their time lol. I'm kinda a newb with computers but trying to learn.

if it a ssd your moving too or a new hard drive use a drive clone software.it make a copy of your main drive. if the copy is fine then you can format the old drive.

Yeah i am trying to move my SSD which is my primary to secondary. My SSD is only 60 gigs and im only trying to use it for critical things, boot up, skyrim, etc. I want my 1 TB HDD to my primary.
