Athlon XP in a MB w/KT133A chipset

Has anyone tried using a new Athlon XP CPU with an older MB with KT133A via chipset? Are their any new CPU instructions that could not be utilized through that combination of hardware?

I have a MSI K7T R and will be upgrading to a XP 1500 will tell you my results when i'm done!
As far as I've seen all that is need is a bios update!

it should work otherwise the place you bought the mobo in should replace it for you so this is a win-win situation, add a lil-bit of dogh and get a brand new kt266a based card.
