Can i scrap win7 and go pure xp pro on new computer with old xp hd

upgraded to new computer i7 platform with win7 os. i have 6 other computers running xp pro. can i scrap win7 and put clone of old xp hd in new computer to run pure xp only?

You would have to do a clean install of XP, just swapping a drive from another systems not going to work unless they use the same chipset. You may also want to make sure there are XP drivers for the system.
