Did you try starting in safe mode? Press F8 while booting and the option will appear.

Hello rockysam619,

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assitance and support.

You're very good at Spamming all the Boards with this blatant advert - are you as good as telling the OP here exactly how that site could sort his problem and why he should waste money on it?

You should still be able to manually enter the new user name via switch user. To update the default login username often (from my experience with win7) requires a registry change.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultUserName

As with all registry changes, backup the registry key prior to making changes.
