(1)what happend, did the HDD become corrupted and you are trying to recove.
(2) What "Free Download". A toshibia recovery disk, a HDD recovery software, A copy of windows to use as a REPAIR disk - No freeby Win vista/win 7. You might borrow a copy to use for REPAIR (Only legal usage is supported on this forum).
